Program Overview
Developing the 2002 Farm Bill is a complex process of balancing priorities,
policies and issues that will impact the entire agricultural industry
an industry now facing rising production costs, depressed crop prices and numerous
farm policy options.
The Texas Agricultural Policy Summit gives you a unique opportunity to hear the latest projections for the current farm program and the outlook for agricultural trade. You'll hear from leaders directly involved in the legislative process at the highest levels of federal and state government, as well as our academic institutions and agencies. And you'll also gain a better understanding of the policies shaping the next farm bill so you'll be prepared to manage its impact on your business and life.
